THE CONWAY CUP
An Experience Unlike Any Other
The Conway Cup started out as a Guys Golf Weekend for six Conway Circle neighbors in August, 2003. Brent B., Steve B., Greg C., John H., Rick M., & Jeff T. were the charter members. It has become an annual excursion for 36 neighbors and friends. As of 2024, the 78 Conway Cup Members & Alumni represent 14 different states.
In 2007 when the group grew to 16, The Conway Cup was born…a 3-day competition pitting two teams against each other in partner and individual events over five rounds of golf.
As The Cup has evolved, venues are selected utilizing the following target criteria:
Located within a 5-hour drive of Central IL
On-site lodging that accommodates a minimum of 8 per unit
At least one course on-site w/others within 15-30 minutes
Catering available for on-site meals
Chauffeured transportation (i.e. bus, etc.)
Target budget for 5 rounds of golf w/cart, 3 nights lodging, meals & transportation…$1,000 (note: milestone anniversary trips may have an increased budget!)
